Sorry Xanga folk, I've decided to go back to Livejournal:

Thursday, May 05, 2005

Today's highlights:

 • After 7 or so years, I've reunited with my favorite Sci-Fi show, "Sliders."
 • I sang my prepared melody piece perfectly during my music oral exam
 • They had some really good chicken at the DC tonight
 • I made an ass out of myself saying "WD-40" but meaning "Compressed Air in a Can"
 • Blair let me use her laptop because I was too lazy to go down the hall
 • I spent 2 hours writing a 1.5 page paper (but this was mostly due to the fact that I was having way too much fun doing other things)
 • Erin is NOT single anymore
 • Kristine said "Cockblock"

Ahhh...life is good.

Ever since I got my iPod for my birthday, I have been importing all my CDs and MP3s into iTunes. Not only has it made me realize how much music I have, but it has also given me a chance to sift through all of my old albums. Thus, I have decided to compile a list of all the albums I believe are "fucking awesome." The following are all the albums I can listen to without having to skip a track, won't ever get tired of, and can't simply live without.

Missy Elliot - ...So Addictive
Oh yes, the title says it all. If listening to this album was like a real drug addiction, I would have died twice by now. So addictive is so good!

Maroon 5 - Songs About Jane
Whoever this Jane chick is (Lead Singer Adam Levine's ex-girlfriend, I think) better feel good that all these songs about her are so awesome. But I guess it sucks for her that her ex-boyfriend is a mega superstar now. Haha.

Jason Mraz - Waiting For My Rocket To Come
Chickens with 3-D glasses and good music? I think that's too many great things on one album. His music is the closest thing to "country" I will ever like. Ever.

Blu Cantrell - So Blu
Who cares if she did some amateur porn before she started her singing career, have you heard her voice? Seriously, the tits and ass are just as good as her music. For real.

Craig David - Born To Do It
Finally, someone who can introduce how cool music from the UK is. Anyone ever heard of two step? Unless you're from the UK too, probably not, but indeed Craig David has exposed a little bit of that genre to America...and that excites me.

R. Kelly - Chocolate Factory
So he pees on women...so what? He's an awesome artist and an even better producer. Mind you, that still doesn't give him the right to be hardcore kinky like that...ewww.

Jeje.

Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights OST
Ok, I definitely bought this CD before I saw the movie because I knew it was gonna be good. I would describe the music as not Americanized Spanish Music, but more like "American Pop Music" trying to sound Spanish. And I guess I like that. Oh, and some of the songs are salsa-able.

Robert Miles - Dreamland
I think this title suits this album very well. All the music is minimal with the vocals, connects with each other's tracks and sounds more like a dream-like musical journey. Hence the title "Dreamland." mega-w00t!

Black Eyed Peas - Elephunk
Alright, I'll be honest...the first time I heard this album, I said WTF? But the second time around, I totally creamed my pants (that's right, cream). Armed with Fergie, Will.I.Am, Apl.de.ap and Taboo have definitely risen up from the "underground" hip-hop scene into the mainstream.

Evanescence - Fallen
So picture the loveliest, most soothing voice you've ever heard...now put her vocals in front of a heavy metal rock band...yep, that's pretty much Evanescence. I haven't quite understood why they sound so good, but they do. Oh, and not all the tracks are "heavy." They have two wickedly awesome ballads.

Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand
I really don't know what to say about this album, if you really liked "Take Me Out," you'll really like the rest of the album.

Jet - Get Born
Coming from Australia, Jet's album Get Born has revived the spirit of the Rolling Stones. My dad actually likes them and he doesn't usually like my music. Yep, that's how awesome they are.

More Albums
50 Cent - Get Rich or Die Tryin'
The Killers - Hot Fuss
Aaliyah - I Care 4 U
Papa Roach - Lovehatetragedy
Boyz II Men - Legacy
Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
Remy Shand - The Way I Feel
Jay-Z - MTV Unplugged
3 Doors Down - Away From The Sun
Jason Mraz - Tonight, Not Again (Live in the Eagles Ballroom)
Trapt - Trapt
J. Espinoza - Wild On The Mix

I'll finish up the descriptions later, I got mucha tarea I gotta do. Later!
